About Lacey's Custom Jewelry

Lacey’s Custom Jewelry has been in business since 2014 but don’t let the “new” business fool you. With the 3 full-time employees and 2 part-time there is a combine 50 years of experience. Starting in a small basement office Lacey did private appointments and appraisals for customers the first year. The second year Lacey moved to an office building where she was still a private appointment only service. Moving was necessary due to the continued growing of the business and repairs were added to the list of services. With two years under her belt Lacey decided it was time to open Bismarck’s First Jewelry Boutique and continue all the services they had done before but with better convenience for all their customers. Being Bismarck’s First Jewelry Boutique Lacey’s strives for quality service on each and every job that comes in. Custom is their specialty but everyone at Lacey’s is ready to help with any job.

Lacey Madsen

Lacey is a Graduate Gemologist and Accredit Jewelry Professional through the Gemological Institute of America. Education is super important to her and she believes it should be for everyone in this industry. Lacey continues her education by going to jewelry trade show and different seminars around the US if or when she can get out of the store.

Lacey’s Custom Jewelry is proud of the custom work they do for their customers and it would not be possible if Lacey did not keep up to date on the technology of the industry. Lacey was educated and completed her first course of Jewelry CAD in 2006. She has been designing awesome jewelry ever since. She just finished another class in September 2014. She says she will keep going as long as there are classes and she has the time.

The jewelry industry has so many layers, so many hands and lots of angles that people come together to complete one masterpiece. This industry is strongly based on knowledge and learning from experiences and Lacey hopes to keep up with that tradition. Lacey’s favorite experience “so far” is her trip to Tanzania and Kenya, Africa where she got to fulfill a life-long dream of watching where it all begins going to mine sites and purchasing rough gems in a dealer’s office. She says Africa is her favorite so far because she hopes to do so much more with her life, with her business and can’t wait to make the most amazing piece for you.
